Love Story_Part 3

The morning sky did not seem the same as always today. I felt a little gloomy despite of the beautiful weather. Why does my heart felt terribly stuffy today? I banged my chest several times hoping that it would reduce the tension a little bit.

"Wendeyh!!! Bwarghhh!!," Red jumped in front of me!

"MAAAAHHH!! Argh, RED!! Why did you do that?"

"Sorry, but you seem so stressed out. I've been standing here long enough that even your big round eyes can't see me right in front of you. Hello, where are you?" Red waved her hands repeatedly on my face.

I admit that I am truly bothered by last Friday night's sudden turn over. Sure did ruin my mood to continue watching our movie. I turned to see a big old tree behind the hostel building. I always love this tree. When the sunlight lit through the shady leaves, it gives out vivid image as if you are looking at the stars during day time. I wish that one day I could share this view with the one tied to my red string. Where is Shiro anyway? We are late already for the first Physics II lecture.

Somehow I decided to wear green today. The class was half full already. We took our usual seats. the third row from the front. Minutes passed and Adrian made his entrance through the front door. Suddenly, the room roared with cynical laughs. I looked up with a smile but instantly faded away as soon as my eyes locked onto Adrian's. I looked away spontaneously while cursing myself on the inside. Why did I gazed away? What am I ashamed of? My cheeks burning hot as fire and slowly reddish like cherries.

I banged my chest again since it felt heavy all over again. Then I realized that Adrian wore the same color as I did. Might as well be a coincidence. No special meaning behind it. The lecturer came and I started to divert my focus. The lecture lasted for 2 sessions and luckily no class after that. Shiro, Red and I went to the cafe to grab some breakfast.

Almost a week passed. Neither Adrian nor I sent text messages. I also realized that every day our shirts would match coincidentally. The air smelled fishy since I certainly did not believe in constant encounters. Till one day Red told me that we were being stalked by some of our colleagues from the next boys hostel every morning. And that was how the "matching" everyday outfits coincides. From then, I always gave a hateful look to Adrian's friends that kept sending "This must be fate" signals to me. I won the match off course as not long afterwards, we no longer became the laughing stock of the class. Boys. Always will be boys.

Adrian sighed as he looked how Wendy reacted to the matching outfit incident. He did not want to upset her. Although he was ashamed of the non-so-directive rejection by Wendy, he still fell for her. She became apart of his life for sometime now and he never regretted his decision to express his feelings. At least he knew that Wendy is not ready to be in a relationship. They were both still young and future is a big mystery that could never be told.

4 YEARS LATER.....

The class ended early as the lecturer have a meeting to attend. I rode together on Red's motorcycle. Her bike's already served us 4 years in this campus. Shiro tagged along with the other colleagues that owned a car. I only have the opportunity to ride motorbike here since my parents are strictly prohibiting my siblings from riding. I enjoyed the air breeze mostly when nobody'son the road. The stink of car smokes really knows how to kill the mood.

We have our breakfast outside the campus. Suddenly, my phone beeps. A text message came in. Shocking since its from Adrian requesting to have breakfast at the cafe on the next morning. It took a while for me to give feedback as I have a feeling that something big is going to happen. With anxious fingers, I typed him a reply of agreement. What could it be?
